The unit owners are entitled to attend all open board meetings although they do not have the right to participate.& Many boards do set aside time to recognize unit owners and provide a forum for them to express their views to the board, although this is not legally required.& The board must post notices of meetings of the board of& managers in entranceways, elevators or other conspicuous places in the condominium at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.& If there is no common entranceway for 7 or more units, the board may designate one or more alternative posting locations in the proximity of these units.

Although some associations provide other means of notifying unit owners of board meetings, the board is still required to timely post notices of the meeting.

In any meeting in which the board considers the adoption of a budget or special assessment, the unit owners must receive written notice of the time, date, and place of such meeting not later than 10 days but not more than 30 days before the date of the meeting.& The board also must send a proposed budget or assessment to the unit owners at least 30 days before it adopts it.
